`MELLEMRUM´

"Things grow, and we build fences"
"TO THE WINDS, that rage..."

Mellemrum is a Danish term that refers not only to physical spaces but also to the undefined transitions between time, memory, sensation, and perception. It encompasses both the tangible—pauses, open spaces, voids—and the abstract, where shifts and transformations escape fixed form.

Throughout her artistic practice, Janne Krogh Hansen has explored the present moment—seeking to understand it, capture it, and dwell within it. How memories emerge, how touch, surroundings, sounds, scents, and words shape our experiences—and how they always seem to slip away, yet leave traces in our subconscious.

Her works examine these mellemrum as spaces of transformation—where material, body, space, and perception intersect, carrying imprints of past, present, and future. The jewelry becomes an inscription of touch and change, where the fleeting and the tangible merge. It is an ongoing study of the indefinable—a depiction of the composite, the ever-changing, and that which can only be grasped for a brief moment. Moments in motion, where presence and absence temporarily unite.

Janne K. Hansen (b. 1977, Aalborg) is a trained goldsmith and designer from the Institute of Precious Metals in Copenhagen. She has exhibited internationally, including in Seoul, Tokyo, and Munich, and her work moves at the intersection of design, jewelry art, and material experimentation.

The exhibition is supported by the Danish Arts Foundation and the National Bank of Denmark’s Jubilee Fund.

Kirigami No.4

Inspired by "kirigami" - the japanese art of paper cutting and folding. The ring model is made out of a single sheet of white gold. The ring design is drawn on the sheet, cut out and bent into shape of a diamond ring.

How We Work

At Goldfingers, we believe in the value of genuine craftsmanship and thoughtful design.

Every piece showcased in our space is made with care, precision, and a deep respect for both materials and artistry. Unlike mass-produced goods, the creations you’ll find here are the result of a direct connection between the artist and their craft, free from middlemen and commercial shortcuts. This allows us to focus on what truly matters — quality, creativity, and responsible craftsmanship

Flat and round wedding band. The ring profile are simple and natural. Carved as if they were cut out of wood.

No.2 _ Ring

Project Klæder

Gult Klæde No.2

The Klæder collection is the result of exploring the contrasts between the soft and the structured, which defines Goldfingers' design language. The collection reflects a balance between the structured, poetic form and the fluid, indefinable. The inspiration comes from a simple cloth draped over a chair back – a harmonious fusion of solid form and soft fabric.
